Survival Tips

The Boyfriend and I are watching tv on the couch last night...

Me: What are you looking at?

The Boyfriend: The sky...looks like we're gonna have weather.

Me: We don't have a basement.  Where do people with no basements go when they're going to have weather?

The BF: *gestures towards the fireplace*

Me: We both can't fit in there.

The BF: Or the boiler room.

Me: Let's remember to flip the oil switch to OFF as we're running in there, 'kay?

The BF: Good catch.

You know, cause when you're running for your life, to hide/cower in the one room of the house that might survive a tornado, you might want to consider that it's also the only room in the house that you pump flammable liquid into.

Although, this isn't neccessarily good planning.

We keep the gun safe in there too.

You are seriously funny.

And for the sake of argument I'm going to assume that "weather" in Massachusetts talk equals some kind of apocalyptic storm.

We had some "weather" again last night. SPent the night in the basement. I am thinking that at least Dorothy had her some red sparkly shoes to soften the blow of the tornado. I've got flops and a headache.:(

I'm loving the image of your whole family, animals included, trying to cower in the fireplace. :)
