Driving in the car. With the iPod....
Me: How can you listen to that stuff? Are those even words?
Kid: I like Rap music.
Me: Like that Whizz Cauliflower guy, how can you even understand the song?
Kid: It's Wiz. Khaah-Lee-Fa.
Me: Whatever, you know what I mean. Play the song I like.
Kid: Ooh-kaay.
Me: What? Why? Who sings it?
Kid: Wiz Khalifa.
Figures.
I'm pretty sure my mother secretly liked Axle Rose.

Hahaha.. I feel your pain. I'm an insufferable indie hipster, and my kids have discovered the top 40 station on their radio.. so I have to suffer through Ke$sha and Bruno mars.. and I had to admit one day that I actually liked one or two of Ke$sha's songs.
The Girl likes 80's rock in my car. It's spectacular that she's 4 and knows the words to I Can't Fight This Feeling Anymore. I love her so much.
Ha ha ha. For my mom my fascination with the Beastie Boys was what got under her skin. Hee hee hee.
I haven't crossed this bridge with my kid yet. So far she still likes the same stuff I do.
